By understanding the roots and evolution of pedagogical theory and practice, you will be able to better comprehend the issues of contemporary education as well as possible ways to resolve them. In addition, knowledge of historical background of education proved to be very motivating for the students to develop their professional and personal attitudes.
By the end of this course, you will know various theories of education and development to be used in you educational practice; as well as understand the utmost importance of the profession and its impact not only on contemporary society, but also on all the aspect of life within the course of human civilization.
No prerequisites needed for taking this course - it is open for all: professionals in-service, students, parents, researchers and any other people interested.

If you are not a full-time student of Murmansk Arctic State University (MASU), 2 ECTS credits may be awarded by the university ONLY in case you decide to fulfill additional assingment and provide supplementary information (see more details in the course info). If you prefer watching lectures and taking tests on this platform only - then credits cannot be awarded.
