Psychology of Management MinasEva

"Psychology of Management" is a course for learners of psychology, management and HR personnel with at least Upper-Intermediate/Advanced level of English (CEFL B2) who understand and express the key concepts of business, economics, and employment issues.

"Psychology of Management" is developed based on Reading extracts, Case studies and Ted talks which cover topics of great interest to everyone involved in international business, employer and employee relations. The course objectives are: to expand learners’ competences related to the language and concepts of management psychology and economics found in Ted talks and Cases; to enhance their comprehension of economic terminology; to foster language skills in the major fields of business and economics; to develop critical/analytical thinking skills, and speech making skills; to provide opportunities to express psychological concepts both verbally and in writing, by analyzing, criticizing and discussing ideas.

The course comprises: 1. READING parts - introducing the core issues of the management and psychology under study. 2. VIDEOS/Ted talks that contain authentic speeches of HR managers and professionals. Students will develop listening skills such as listening for information and note-taking. 3. CASE STUDIES - based on realistic problems or situations related to the workforce, allow the learners to use the language and communication skills related to the specific theme. They give them an opportunity to practise speaking skills in realistic business situations.
